FunFinder 24 ft w slide

some friends got a FunFinder this year, 24 nft w/ a slide. They go to campgrounds with water hookups and have not used their water tank or water pump. Can you tell me where the water tank is and where the low point drain is? (just to make sure there is no water in the tank for winterization). the tank is not under the bed.

RE: Vu Qube portable satellite antenna

Thanks Bob, you are correct about the switch to digital, not HD. I meant digital but got caught up in acronyms.
I saw too somewhere, that the Vu Qube was going to be obsolete
come Feb 09. I am sure sales people are going to say whatever to make a sale.

Vu Qube portable satellite antenna

Does anyone have experience with this portable satellite system?
While watching TV is not one of our priorities when camping, with the change over coming in Feb 09, we thought we would look into this antenna. Also, we do not want to get into expensive satellite systems, nor put any more holes in our MH roof.
We are currently Direct TV subscribers at home, and plan to use one of our house receivers in the MH when in the MH.
Our MH TVs are digital and analog.
Does the Vu Qube get HD? (HD is the whole reason for the nationwide switchover.)

Vu Qube portable satellite TV antenna

Duplicate... post responses Here
Has anyhone had experience with this portable satellite antenna?
We currently have Direct TV at home. While watching TV is not our primary focus while camping, and we do not want to go to any great expense or holes in our roof...we thought with the change over coming in Feb 09 to HD, we might get this portable satellite antenna, and use one of our home Direct TV receivers. Our MH TVs are digital or analog.
I have been doing research on the internet...and wanted to ask you all for any further insite.

need for locking gas cap?

Our RV tour company recommend getting a locking gas cap. For you folks who have traveled before in AK, should we get one?

Thetford cassette toilet

Our friends have a Fleetwood Westlake with a Thetford cassette toilet. They have been unable to put water in the toilet to "flush" it. When pulling out the first tube 90 degrees, only a bit of water goes in, much like it is blocked. nothing shows on the clear tube that any water has gone in. when pushing the flush button, it sounds like it wants to put water in the bowl.
the camper is new and the toilet has never been used. I suggested they take it back to the dealer to have them check it out.
Is there a simple fix?

RE: E-Z Gutter

I love the stuff...have had it on two coaches. I put mine just above the windshield frame. I marked where the half way point was on the ez gutter and then started at the halfway point on the coach.
Love it...love it.

caravan tour of Alaska and rig oil changes

WE have signed up to take a caravan tour of Alaska starting at Dawson Creek, BC. From our home in Ohio, it will be 2800 miles+ to Dawson Creek. Of course, touring Alaska will be more thousands of miles...For those who have done it, will there be places to get the oil changed on the rig? Will the wagonmaster know?
Advice would be great

RE: Fleetwood Bounder (gas)???

We love our 2007 34F Bounder with three slides and a workhorse engine. We got it in May 07, and have 9000 miles on it. WE traded in a 2006 Hurricane 31D with two slides. I understand the 35 E is the most popular of the Bounder gasers because of the floor plan. Have had minor problems with our coach and not the engine. One can have minor problems with a new car too!
Go for the Bounder.

RE: Ohio inter-states, whats the story?

I live in Ohio and am a retired Ohio DOT employee. although not directly involved with new construction or maintenance, I know my roads and find the PA Turnpike the worst of the lot. There may be a few bad stretches in Ohio. The new governor and the DOT are concentrating on maintenance and repair and NOT on new construction that hasn't already been planned or already in the "pipeline".
WE drive 55 to 60 on posted roads of 55/65...it saves a bit of the gas...and we feel safer too with the toad.
